I can’t think too long about the writing decisions that Rockstar made in regards to the native characters or else I’ll get pissed the fuck off. Why are a bunch of Lakota living on a reservation who’s name is a Shawnee / Cree word, why did the writers think that any sort of peaceful conversation could happen between the Lakota and the US military so soon after the fucking Wounded Knee Massacre, especially without ever even addressing it - (Hosea talks about raw deals and ill treatment but are we not going to talk about one of the most infamous slaughters in US history?) Why does Rains Fall have an Ojibwe dream catcher in his lodging, how is Rains Fall a chief who speaks Lakȟótiyapi but isn’t on one of the many already-established reservations that already existed at that time in that area? When Rockstar said Wapiti was a “tribe made up of a bunch of tribes” did they literally just mean the Sioux conglomerate or are we supposed to think Blackfoot, Cree, Crow, and Lakota are all hanging out doing sweat lodges together? Why does Charles wear traditional clothing and say he lived with his mother and their people for twelve years but he “doesn’t know his tribe” ?

R*’s legion of white male writers clicking on the wikipedia page for “native americans” rather than hiring a cultural consultant.

Why did the final scene before Eagle Flies gets [redacted] and [redacted] look just like that scene in Pocahontas at the end where she throws herself over the white man in order to save the plot.
